When we sleep and dream what is really occurring in our lives ?Sleep is described as a time of rest for the physical body .
Psalm 4:8 KJV
I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord , only makest me dwell in safety.
Sleep is also described as a time to commune with God.
Job 33:15-16 KJV
In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;
Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction,…
It is sleep or a state of unconsciousness that the desires of the self is reduced and man travels into the realm of the spirit. The spirit of man is a Divine mystery known only by God. The wiseman describes it as going upwards.
Ecclesiastes 3:21 KJV
Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?
Man is spiritual in nature , the spirit of man seeks solace in the Divine Spirit.
Furthermore ,we are told that there is a connection of life to the giver of life .
Ecclesiastes 12:6-7,13 KJV
Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern.
Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
The Silver Cord is the life force that connects all humanity to its source of life , the breath and air we breathe.
The Golden Bowl is the receptacle of Prayers and Praise we give to the All ,Divine One.
The Pitcher is our earthly body our vessel or container.
The Wheel is our life cycle matching the cycles of the ages , each in his own time, world without end.
The Fountain is our ability to give from the Gifts that the Spirit has given to us (out of our belly will flow living waters.)
The symbolisms are clear ,only when Holy Spirit reveals them . We stand in awe of the Wisdom of God.
The Silver Cord is attached and serves as our bungy cord or life line throughout our lives . In sleep the spirit self is detached from the body and is opened or release to travel into the realm of the Spirit . Where you travel depends on your state of being. Are your waking thoughts centered on the Divine ? In dream we travel towards our daily concerns or towards the realm of the Spirit .
Dream is a reflection of the heart and mind .
Luke 6:45 KJV
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
A broken Silver Cord means in the first place a separation from Divine Union .
Matthew 12:31-32 KJV
Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
Denying the Presence and Work of Holy Spirit is the greatest of all reasons for lack of union and the breaking of the Silver Cord.
The Psalmist said,
Psalm 139:1-9 KJV
O Lord , thou hast searched me, and known me .
Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.
Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word in my tongue, but , lo, O Lord , thou knowest it altogether.
Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.
Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there .
If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
The Divine is everywhere , our desire for choice is what alienates us and brings us out of Union with God .
Psalm 45:17 KJV
I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise thee for ever and ever.
Psalm 104:33 KJV
I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
There are numerous examples of The Spirit of God communicating with his human subjects in dreams and vision. In most cases he , the Divine cause a sleep to fall on them .
This sleep is the sleep of connective ness that case the subject to be in a state that the information could be embedded into their spirits .
Samuel as a child was given a message for Eli .Abraham ,as a citizen of Chaldea was called out to Yahweh worship . Jacob wrestled with an Angel and saw a vision of the cycles of creation he called ‘A Ladder of Angels .
Other prophets had open vision of God.
Moses spoke with God ‘face to face’.
Ezekiel saw the chariot of God.
Isaiah and Elijah both meetings with God view different aspects of his Divinity and his attending Angelic Host.
All the children of Israel saw the Cloud of Glory with its two Faces , Light in time of Darkness ,and darkness acting as protection from the pursuing enemy .
Yes the Silver Cord is our connection to the Divine, it is our Divine Consciousness that brings us into Union with God.
Not even death can break this cord ,
Mark 12:24-27 KJV
And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?
For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.
And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?
He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.
Is your Silver Cord Connected or severed?
Isaiah 55:6-7 KJV
Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord , and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
Acts 17:27 KJV
[27] That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
